Jacques Whitford Receives Business Excellence Award

On Wednesday, November 26, 2008, more than 500 business and community leaders attended a gala dinner at the Saint John Trade and Convention Centre for the Saint John Board of Trade's annual Outstanding Business Achievement Awards.

Jacques Whitford took home the top award in the Business Excellence category based on a number of criteria including: sales growth; innovation; entrepreneurship; marketing; human resource development; community relations and the environment; and other achievements.

Since 1985, the Saint John Board of Trade awards program has provided much deserved recognition to many of the entrepreneurs and businesses (small and large) who are a very important part of the local community. Saint John is home to Jacques Whitford’s executive office and is the headquarters for its New Brunswick operations. About 190 of the company’s 1,800 employees worldwide are employed in New Brunswick, 67 of them in Saint John.
