Jacques Whitford Ltd. Acquires Winnipeg-based The National Testing Laboratories Limited
Growing Manitoba industry ideal market for latest acquisition.

Continuing with a strong growth strategy in Western Canada, Jacques Whitford, a leading provider of engineering, sustainability, environmental and earth sciences solutions, announces its acquisition of Winnipeg-based National Testing Laboratories Limited (NTL).

NTL is one of Manitoba's leading full-service geotechnical engineering, materials testing and environmental services firms. “NTL has been providing services in Manitoba for more than 85 years.” says Bob Seager, President of Jacques Whitford’s Western operations. “With the province expecting steady growth in the construction industry over the next few years, NTL’s expertise and reputation as a well-established consulting company will be great assets to the Jacques Whitford team and our clients’ projects.”

According to the Canadian Construction Industry’s 2007-2012 Forecast, Manitoba will see an increasing volume of work in the engineering and industrial construction sectors as steady annual employment continues to grow. The acquisition of NTL leaves Jacques Whitford well positioned to capitalize on this anticipated growth.

Don Flatt will remain as president of NTL operations as part of the Jacques Whitford group of companies and will report directly to Bob Seager, President of Jacques Whitford’s Western Operations.
